A support programme for organisations new to investors in people.
The IBP Engage and Energise programme is a package of support for organisations just beginning their Investors in People journey. Offering a choice of engagement options to suit different types of organisation, access to web resources, materials and expert 1–2–1 advice will take you from initial understanding of the Standard through to preparation for assessment: and the good news is that there is substantial funding available for most organisations to make this a cost–effective and high value programme.
- Organisations eligible for funded support pay only £500 + VAT for a programme worth three times that amount.
- A senior manager from your organisation is supported through an initial strategic planning session, followed by regular progress visits and 1–2–1 support – a total of 2 days of consultancy support.
- Bespoke consultancy support ensures you receive a unique service, concentrating on the issues of most relevance to you and bringing your organisation the maximum business benefit.
- We will assign an expert business adviser selected for their knowledge and experience in your industry sector and with organisations of your size.
- A vast range of developmental materials can be deployed to help you implement new practices, extend your understanding and focus your people on a shared vision of the future.
- Telephone access to your adviser, and the IBP Helpline, ensures that you can get immediate answers to any queries or questions – as well as 1–2–1 time at your office.
Routes
Organisations can opt for one of two versions of engage and energise:
Interactive Route
Starting with a strategic analysis with your Adviser, your organisation works through the Investors in People journey using the web–based materials and resources offered on Investors in People Interactive. This is an accessible source for you of materials, exercises, guidance and information.
Customised Route
For organisations wanting to use the support time in a different way, we offer the customised option – an initial strategic analysis with your Adviser, followed by 1.5 days of their time to focus on the issues of most concern. However you and your Adviser agree to use the time – flexibility is the key.
Funding Available
Funding for the Engage and Energise programme is available for organisations that:
- employ less than 250 staff
- designate a senior manager to take part in the programme
- have not have accessed the government leadership and management grant funding since January 2007.
Central and local government organisations and schools under local authority control are not eligible for this funding.
Organisations accessing the funding will receive a visit from a Leadership and Management Broker to complete necessary paperwork, and are required to pay £1500 + VAT in advance for the programme, of which £1000 is refunded by the government directly to the organisation. Please note that the funding grant cannot reimburse the VAT element of the price, in accordance with EU rules.
